An Omaha Metro Day Trip Guide

Being ten minutes from downtown Omaha is one of the more underrated parts of staying at Marble Ace. Guests who only plan around the resort itself often don't realize how much is a short bridge crossing away. Here's what we point people toward most often.

The Old Market District

A cobblestone warehouse district turned into restaurants, galleries, and independent shops, the Old Market is the single most common recommendation our front desk makes for an off-property evening. It's walkable, dense, and different enough in character from the riverfront that it doesn't feel redundant with a resort stay.

The Riverfront Trail System

A paved trail runs along both sides of the Missouri, connecting Council Bluffs and Omaha across a pedestrian bridge with river views in both directions. It's a legitimately good morning walk or bike ride if you brought one, and it links up close enough to the resort that you can start right from the property.

Downtown Omaha's Museums

Depending on your interests, downtown Omaha has a cluster of museums within a short drive of each other — worth checking current hours and any traveling exhibits before you go, since a couple close on Mondays.

Most guests who cross the river do it for an evening, not a full day — the Old Market pairs naturally with a dinner reservation and leaves the rest of your stay on the Iowa side.

Getting There

It's a straightforward ten-minute drive from the resort across the river, and rideshare coverage in both cities is reliable enough that skipping a rental car is a reasonable call if you're only planning one or two off-property outings.
